Rising Action to Climax

Windrider

  1. He leaves the company and moves to Polk street. 
  2. They first meet Miss Whitlaw, and Robin.
  3. Windrider begins making glider models.
  4. Windrider tests the glider models on the beach beside the sea.
  5. There is an earthquake and Windrider rescues people.
  6. Windrider goes to the company, and has an argument with Uncle about flying.
  7. Windrider...

Moonshadow

  1. He leaves the company and moves to Polk street. 
  2. They first meet Miss Whitlaw, and Robin.
  3. Moonshadow starts writing to the Wright brothers.
  4. Moonshadow helps test the glider models on the beach beside the sea.
  5. There is an earthquake and Moonshadow rescues people.
  6. Moonshadow goes the company  and leaves with Windrider.

Black Dog

  1. He helps Uncle clean up the business.
  2. He runs away to parts unknown.

Climax to Falling Action

  1. Windrider tells the sheriff; Moonshadow calls Miss Whitlaw.
  2. The company arrives.
  3. The company pulls the plan up the hill.
  4. The company pushes the plane down the hill.
  5. The plane takes off and crashes.

Uncle Bright Star
What the character says and does

"Don't you know it's impolite to stare,boy?"(P.19)

How the character looks and feels
He was age about eighty, and he looked short and fat like a rock. He also had a round face with broad cheeks but a weak chin, that protruded his thick lips. His belly had stuck out above his pants top. His hands were calloused and his left index finger was twisted slightly from an accident of digging tunnel for Demons.(P.19-20)
What others think of the character
The others also agreed that he was a fat and short man.
How I feel about the character
I think Uncle Bright Star is a very kind and helpful old man. Also, I think he cares about devoir a lot too because when Moon Shadow came to the company, he kept staring at Uncle Bright Star. Then Uncle told him that "don't you know it's impolite tostare, boy?" (page.20)

 

Moon Shadow
What the character says and does

He was very keen to know about the Golden Mountain or Demon lands.(Ch.1)

"I want to go.(The Demon lands)"(P.12)

He called Father's kite a 'silly toy'.

Black Dog said that he was in a monkey face.(P.277)

Uncle Bright Star said that Moon Shadow had his own character.(P.20)
How I feel about the character
He was a good boy to his father because while he was still living in the Middle Kindom, Hand Clap said that Windrider wanted Moon Shadow to come to the Demon Land to join with them. Although his mother and grandmother disagreed him to go there in a such young age, he still wanted to go there because he had to obey what his father said.(P.12)

 

Black Dog

"Can't one cousin visit another cousin? It's a lonely country. Maybe I missed the sight of your monkey's face."(P.277)
How the character looks and feels

Black Dog was a strange, brooding man in his forties. (p.36)

He was as tall as Father,and there was a scar by his right temple that he had gotten in a sword fight.(p.37)

Moon Shadow thought that he was jealousing the people have clothes, food and house.(P.278)
How I feel about the character
I think he was a kind of crazy man. He loved money a lot.

He is nearly five foot eight, he had a long,sharp face with almost elfin eyes.(P.18)

How I feel about the character

I think Windrider is crazy because he wanted to finish a imposible dream--flying. But he was very firm too because he wanted to finish his dream and never thought about give up.
