We've watched their video; now, please put your questions for Jason and Peter, here.  Feel free, too, to edit this page, especially the grammar of the equestions - D.W.

-- I apologize for my slow response.  I have been 'busy' some activities, which have come to represent, at least, a portion of my daily life.  I hopet that my answers would still be of interest to you... I will start, at least, with some of the questions the responses to which, from Jason, I have not yet read.  To avoid confusion, I will also try to explicitly identify Jason's responses in cases where he left them unmarked.  -- Peter G.

1.  How are you? - Mr. Woo

Leave a line for Peter and Jason to answer their questions, here.

I am very excited about my upcoming trip to Great Britain and Italy next week. --Jason

I am well.  I am soon going to finish a letter to send to a University Professor, asking him whether there might be a possibility for me to volunteer (or work) as an assistant of his.  I am also playing Chess on the Internet... and I have had more than my share of time to make a move.  Ma

2.  How old are you? - Mr. Woo

I am 26 years old.  I am 5 days older than Mr. Woo.--Jason

3.  Do you think U.S.A is a nice place?- Rita

The United States is far from perfect, but it is overall a great place to live.   In The United States individuals have a great deal of freedoms and rights guaranteed to them.  They also have a great deal of opportunities as long as they are willing to work hard.  There are many people from all over the world making up a "melting pot."  If you are interested you can learn about all different kinds of people.--Jason

4.  Do you think your friend David is a good man?- Rita

Dave really believes in his work and giving his students the type of experience they might not get otherwise.  I've known Dave since we were 5 years old and yes I do believe David is a good man.  However, if I didn't think so I think it be a bit

odd for me to criticize him in front of his class.--Jason

5.what do you think about  Hong Kong?-Candice

I've never been to Hong Kong.  I'd love to visit Hong Kong.  A great deal of my friends have been to Hong Kong and my father visited briefly when he was a doctor in the United States Air Force.  I've seen videos and pictures and the city looks very exciting.  It is one of the only places more action-packed and fast paced than New York City.  I do; however, worry about Hong Kong's pollution problem. --Jason

6.Did you like your high school life?-Candice

High School was a very difficult time filled with transitions.  I feel I know more of who I am now than when I was in High School.  I enjoyed

High School, but I do not think I'd want to go back to being a high school student. --Jason

7.Do you like Hong Kong?-Wing

I've never been to Hong Kong, but it seems like a very interesting and exciting place.  I'd love to go one day.  My father always says he would love to go back.  --Jason

8.Will you get lost in your big high school?-Wing

When I was 14 years old and started high school I needed a map.  Now I know the whole school by heart, although they are adding an addition to it soon.  Our high school is one of the nicest public high schools I've ever seen and I was fortunate to go to it.  Most American public high schools are not as nice.--Jason

9.Do you think Mr.Woo is a nice person?-Wing

All people have their "moments," but overall Mr. Woo is a nice guy.  More importantly he has values/opinions and stands up for what he believes in. --Jason

10.Do you play any sport?-Wing

I play ping pong, racquetball, basketball, and American football for fun.  I am not a great athlete though.

11.Do you have any good friends?-Wing

I am fortunate to have many friends including David and Peter (in the video). I also have another friend Mr. Woo and I grew up with who is also living in Hong Kong for 6 months on business.  In the United States websites such as www.friendster.com, www.facebook.com, www.myspace.com are popular ways of learning more about individual's friends. --Jason

12.Why do you film your high-school for us?-Martin

Mr. Woo wanted Peter and I, a few of his high school friends still living in or near his hometown, to film a video.  We thought it be appropriate to film our high school since you are students as well, but in a very different place. --Jason

13.It is interesting to film a movie?-Martin

We are not experts, but we enjoyed the experience of filming a movie very much.  In fact some of the camera work was done by my friend Manish, who had previously studied cinema in India. --Jason

14.What do you think of your video ? - Amy

I do not think we will be winning any awards, but I think the video is fun and I hope you all enjoyed it. --Jason

15.Why did you flim this video ? - Amy

(See Question 12)--Jason

16. Who is the producer?? - Sear!

Manish (who had taken courses in India about film) was the cameraman.  Other than that Peter and I were the only ones involved in the video. --Jason

17. What is the weather in American?? - Sear!

The weather varies depending on where you are in America.  The United States is a huge country.  Florida has weather very similar to Hong Kong.  In parts of Alaska it snows most of the year and never gets much higher than 15 degrees Celsius even in July.  Nevada and Arizona are deserts so it is very hot and dry during the day and cold at night.  Where we live near New York City the climate is very seasonal.  It is often as warm as 35 degrees Celsius in the summer, yet it is also often -5 degrees and snowy in the winter.--Jason

18.What do you do in your spare time? - Hercy

In my spare time I enjoy driving around, exploring, and visiting very interesting places.  I also enjoy finding the best restaurants, reading, watching sports, surfing the internet, and watching TV.--Jason

19.Do you think this video has a great attraction ? - Hercy

I think the video is entertaining, but I don't think it is worthy of winning any awards.--Jason

20.This video sounds interesting , do you admit? - Hercy

I enjoyed making and watching the video.  Many of my friends enjoyed it.  However, my girlfriend hated it.  -Jason

21.Will you make the other video again ? - Hercy

I hope Peter and I will make another movie.--Jason

22. Will you come to Hong Kong ? - Hercy

I hope one day I will come to Hong Kong -Jason

23.Do you play anykinds of sport  with Mr.Woo?-NiColE

26.Where were you born?-Kelly 2.

I was born in Summit, NJ.  Summit is a small beautiful city near where David and I are from.  It is about 20 miles and a 45 minute train trip from New York City.--Jason

27.What do you think about the differents  between Hong Kong and U.S.A.?-nICole-V-"

This is a question I could write a whole book on.  Both places were former British colonies.  However, Hong Kong was controlled by the British until 1997.  America was controlled by the British until 1776.  Another important difference is that most people in Hong Kong are Han Chinese.   America is made up of people from all over the world.  No group makes up even 50% of the population of America.  However, both places also have many similarities.  We all consume products from the same world companies (e.g. Nike, Sony, etc.).  Technology is making the world a great deal smaller.  --Jason

28.Will you win if you run with Mr. Woo ?-Kelly One-

No Mr. Woo along with Peter used to run in high school.  I am very slow.  I've always been slow--Jason

29. What do you like to do??  -  dAiSyLaM

I like to learn about a great deal of different people and places.  I like to explore.  I also like to debate things with people as long

as it does not get too personal --Jason

30. Do you have any bother or sister??  -  DaIsYlAm

I have two brothers-Justin and Adam.  My older brother was in the same grade as Mr. Woo's older sister.  My younger brother is

friends with Mr Woo's brother who is also named Justin.

31.How many member are there in you family??  -  dAiSyLaM

My immediate family has 5 members.  However, my older brother is married so maybe that makes 6.

32.What is your hobby?-Tung

(see above)

I am not sure that I have a single hobby.  I suppose I have a few, of varying importance for me -- increasing in number as they decrease in 'strength.'  I enjoy popular Philosophy, though not passionately, so, I have been reading some literature with a philosophical inclination (I just started to read stories of the Argentine writer Borges...), and learning a little about statistics.  I have have passed three years already, since college (in America, as far as a student is concerned, this generally means 'university'), but am interested in studying again, soon, as a graduate student -- probably in a field related to 'Cognitive Science.'  I have slowly been working on a web page, not straying completely from my some of my interests -- one of the parts is a simple English-Russian transcription program.  I hope in the future to be able to contribute more to language-related software.  But in the meantime, I am slowly reading about different elements of the areas I hope to study, and, in other hours (aside from work, which I have during the day), I maintain pretty passive or 'lazy' hobbies.  I read some news, occasionally watch or play tennis (not table-tennis), travel (I recently went to Ireland -- I hoped to hear people speaking Irish somewhere, but all the Irish people I heard spoke English), sometimes set aside time to make tea or coffee, and perhaps learn more about it.

I am working on learning Italian, but this is taking a very long time, and is a hobby I resort to after most others.  The film we made with Jason and our 'cameraman' was the not the first amateur movie that I made or participated in (there were actually two (of differing quality) with Jason).  But none of these movies were serious.  I would like to work on more involved movie projects.  I am not sure whether I will.  But there are many reasons not to be lazy these days.  The presence of Internet movie-sharing services has given so much flexibility to amateur cinematography -- involving making, sharing or influencing, that it seems that moviemaking now has access to a mythical strength, and develops, for very many people, in a fast forum of mutual influence (... on the Internet).  Mr. Woo's innovative experiments make use of serious possibilieties in communication.  I was shocked to see the result of movie-sharing.  It was hard to believe that students would watch it (according to Google Videos, more people watched it then I could expect).  But, I am now [more] interested again, as I once was, in making films, this time participating in a sort of "living" production, on the Internet.  -- Peter

33.Do you like your high-school?-Tung

(see above)

Our High School was a "good school" objectively, and there was much to like in it.  Much of what was to like in it actually had to do initially with where we were, and where the school was -- a pretty typical place among nice New Jersey suburbbs (even though we live more than a few miles from New York, we are in the New York suburbs, which are pretty large).  This is a relatively quiet town, where people sometimes know each other for reasons related to the fact that they live in the same town.  There is just one High School in Livingston.  The kids in the school were generally nice.  Overally, it was a lively place.  Unlinke Jason, I have not lived in the town all my life.  Before Livingston, I had lived for a little while in Brooklym, in New York City, where I went to elementary (or 'grade' or 'grammar') school.  It was not a very pleasant experience for me.  In fact, I did not enjoy high school very much, but it was not very unpleasant either.  I was not as socially-active as many people, and was not pleased with this fact.  But the same could have been true in Brooklyn, and it may have been worse there.  I think that there were pretty good opportunities in Livingston High School.  I did not take as many as I could have.  But there are not very many regrets now.  During my last two years there, I had more and closer school friends than I had before, similar perspectives on life as many people, and concerns...  I have memories, and not so few memories either!  I often think about memories... this little project, for Mr. Woo, was an opportunity, and a somewhat of a challenge.  But it was an appealing challenge, at least for me, to return as far as was willing, to the detail of seemingly-distant school-time memories. -- Peter

34.Have you been to that restaurant to have a meal? Was it good?  -an nie

Mr. Woo and I used to always eat pizza at that restaurant during High School.  We also go back when Mr Woo comes back home. We

There were 3 major songs in the movie.  "Born to Run" by New Jersey Rock Star Bruce Springsteen, "Time to Remember" by New York

Pop Star Billy Joel, and finally "Small Town" by John Mellencamp.

I should add that in addition to the songs that Jason indicates, which are indeed the 'major' components of the background music, there are some shorter pieces.  There are parts of one or two songs by Edith Piaf, near the end, and some Spanish Classical Guitar music.   I believe some other pieces of music are involved as well (but I no longer remember exactly!... I can check...) -- Peter
